Right of Paternity
This is the right of an author to be identified as the author of his
or her work. The author can require the publisher to print a formal
notice in all copies of the book by 'asserting' this right in a
signed letter to the publisher. The standard wording used is:
'The right of <Author's name> to be identified as the author of
this work has been asserted in accordance with the Copyright, Designs
and Patents Act 1988.'
We will assume that you want to assert your right of paternity unless
you tell us otherwise.
